Laurence Irwin Sugarman er forskningsprofessor emeritus og tidligere direktør for Center for Applied Psychophysiology and Self-regulation ved College of Health Sciences and Technology ved Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT); utviklings- og atferdsbarnelege ved LISMindCare, LLC i Rochester, New York; og klinisk professor i pediatri ved University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Gjennom mer enn to tiår med pediatrisk primærhelsetjeneste videreutviklet dr.

William Wester har Sugarman vært medforfatter og medredaktør for boken Therapeutic Hypnosis with Children and Adolescents gjennom dens andre utgave.
